Celebrating Black History Month

  The Coffeyville Public Library presents a free program.

Black History Month 2012

We will be featuring African-American leaders of the community:

Pastor Virgil Horn, Paul S. Price and Nellie Briggans

February 2nd at 1:30 pm

     One of the most well known love stories of our time

    An Affair to Remember starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr.

     Released in 1957. Nominated for 4 Oscars and 1 Gold Metal win

  Come for a good seat and plenty of popcorn   Screen time is at 1:30

     Ebooks from 3M cloud are soon to follow.  Some books are available now.

All that you need is a Kansas State Library card available at your local library.

Memory Matinee

Memory Matinee has moved to Thursday,  January 5 at 1:30 pm

    To celebrate Kansas Day, the film for the month of January will be Splendor in the Grass starring Warren Beatty and Natalie Woods filmed in 1961.   This film has two Oscar wins and 6 other nominations.  This play was written by the Kansas born writer, William Inge.
Popcorn is free so come early for a seat.

Coffeyville Public Library Foundation is hosting their last Book Sale for 2011.

The dates are December 2 & 3rd, 9 am to 5 pm on both Friday and Saturday, just in time for Christmas.

We have added a lot of books to the sale, so don’t forget us.

 SCROOGED is the movie that will be shown on December 7 starring Bill Murray.  This movie was nominated for 1 Oscar and 3 Saturn Awards (given by the Academy of  Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films).

The film and popcorn will begin at 2:00 pm so don’t be late.
