Help our 2020 Summer Reading Program!

I know summer seems to be worlds away, but it’ll be here before we know it. Summer reading takes months of planning to make sure everything is ready.

We are reaching out to Coffeyville’s citizens and area businesses to help us bring a wonderful summer reading program for 2020! Summer Reading promotes literacy and a love of lifelong learning in children, teens, and adults! This year’s theme is “Imagine Your Story” which focuses on fairytales, folklore, and fantasy. We will be holding at least four programs each week during the summer for patrons of all ages. We are hoping to provide small incentives to everyone who meets their reading goals and need craft supplies for various activities.

If you would like to donate, choose anything from the lists here and bring it to the library! If you would like to make a monetary donation, make sure to mention that the donation is specifically for the Summer Reading Program.

Harry Potter Celebration

This past Saturday was our very first Harry Potter Party. We had loads of fun and it sounded like the kids did too! Here are a few photos from Saturday’s event! Looking forward to another Harry Potter/Halloween themed party next year!

Thank You To Our Foundation!

The Library’s Foundation works hard to provide new technologies and updates to help us serve our patrons as time goes on. We’ve recently received some new book carts to help us return items to our shelves and a new courtesy charging station! We hope our patrons will get a lot of use out of it.

Thank you again you the Coffeyville Public Library Foundation!
