The Coffeyville Public Library is excited to announce the return of our Food For Fines drive! From November 10, 2025, to January 2, 2026, you can support our local community and settle your library fees at the same time.
How it Works:
Bring nonperishable food and essential items to the Public Library. For every item you donate, we’ll waive a set amount from your overdue fines and item replacement charges. You can see the Fine Waiver Tier List below to maximize your contribution and fine reduction. Every item counts, and your generosity directly helps our neighbors in need.
No Fines? No Problem! Even if you have a clear account, we warmly encourage you to donate directly to our community organizations. All items collected will be distributed locally to:
- Genesis of Coffeyville
- Midwest Pregnancy Care Center
Together, we can provide essential support during this time.
Top Priority Donation Items
To make the biggest impact, we encourage you to donate these high-need items:
- Infant Needs: Baby Formula (especially sensitive varieties) and Diapers (sizes 4+ are highest needs)
- Pantry Staples: Boxed Meals, Cereal, Canned Soups/PB&J, Pasta/Rice/Beans, Canned Meats, and Baking Supplies.
- Essentials: Laundry Detergent and Hygiene Items (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.)
Important Donation Guidelines
To ensure all items are safe and usable for our partner organizations, please adhere to the following rules:
- Must be Non-Expired.
- Must be Undamaged.
- Must be Unopened Packages.
- No Non-Nutritious Items (e.g., candy, chips, soda).
- Ramen Noodles (and similar multi-package items) will be accepted at a value of 4 packages = $1 waived.
